Introduction

At The Huntsman, we’re pleased to welcome all guests and we want everyone to feel comfortable and looked after when visiting us. We believe that everyone should have the opportunity to enjoy our traditional English pub experience, quality local food, and hospitality.

We recognise the importance of accessibility and strive to make our services and premises as inclusive as possible. However, as a traditional, historic building in Eridge, Sussex, there are some structural limitations we cannot fully remove.

 

Digital Accessibility

Physical Access to the Premises

The Huntsman is situated in a traditional, historic property. We have made every effort to ensure that our main dining and bar areas are accessible to guests with mobility requirements.

• Entry and Seating: Level or ramped access is available to the main pub areas. We offer flexible seating arrangements to accommodate wheelchairs and other mobility aids.

• Service: Our staff are committed to providing a high level of service. We offer full table service for both food and drinks to ensure a comfortable experience for guests who may find it difficult to stand at the bar.

• Staff Assistance: Our team is trained to assist guests with specific needs. Please do not hesitate to ask for assistance with door entry, navigating the premises, or reading our menus.

 

Limitation: Toilet Facilities

While we endeavour to be as inclusive as possible, the structural nature and age of our historic building present certain physical limitations.

We strive to accommodate guests with disabilities wherever we can, however we unfortunately do not have independent or dedicated accessible toilet facilities at this time.

Our existing toilet facilities are located within the standard layout of the building and may not be fully accessible to users of larger wheelchairs or those requiring specific grab-rail configurations. We’re sorry for any inconvenience this may cause and remain committed to exploring future solutions to improve our facilities.

 

Assistance Dogs

We are a dog-friendly establishment. Assistance dogs are, of course, welcome in all public areas of the pub. Water bowls can be provided upon request.
